Our Philosophy & Mission Statment
M & K’s Littles Child Developoment Center is a Play-Based Learning Daycare that offers inclusive infant and toddler care in Lubbock, focused on nurturing young minds through play. Our hands-on learning approach encourages creativity, social development, and early cognitive growth in a safe and engaging environment. As a play-based daycare, we provide meaningful experiences that support each child’s individual pace, fostering a love for learning in a warm, inclusive setting.
P hilosophy
M & K's Littles is focused on providing a completely inclusive environment that is comfortable for children, families, and staff. Children learn best when they are comfortable and able to express themselves. We create an atmosphere that feels like family and home. We focus on each individual child and employee to build a confidence and knowledge. Our program is designed for inclusivity for all families promoting cultural literacy for all ages. An effective child care program ensures that all children's needs are being met not only by state licensing standards but beyond.
M ission Statements
The purpose of an M & K's Littles Child Development Center is to build appropriate developmental skills using cognitive, literacy, social-emotional, Highscope, Montessori, and Reggio Emilia styles of learning. We value all children and strive to have a positive community so everyone feels welcome. We are unique because we provide specialized materials that stimulate learning, as well as an environment that feels like home. While other schools use textbooks or workbooks we use hands-on learning so that children will grow a desire to learn.

My name is Memory Flores Co-owner of M & K's Littles child development center. I am dedicated to providing a comfortable environment where children can feel safe, loved, secure, nurtured where they can learn at an individual pace and thrive. I have an associates degree in early child development and am pursuing my bachelor's with Wayland Baptist University.
Kourtney Whitehead

My name is Kortney Whitehead, a passionate early childhood educator with 3 years of experience supporting young learners. I hold an AAS in Child Development and two Certificates of Proficiency in Early Childhood Administration and Development. I’m dedicated to creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where children can grow at their own pace, while building positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
Jeanna Chambers

Hello, I am Jeanna Chambers Mother to part owner Memory Flores. I have two beautiful grand children who call me Geega. I have been in childcare for 4+ years. I enjoy the way kids light up. I especially love teaching the children nursery rhymes, telling them stories. The children tend to embrace me as a grandmother figure and I gain so much joy from the love I am able to show each child and how the children reciprocate it back to me.

Hi! my name is Lyndsey Elizondo and i’ve been in childcare going on 9 months now, and what i love most about my job is the affection and connection i share with the children. it’s so rewarding to see them grow and learn every day. watching them develop new skills, build confidence, and express their creativity is truly special. i enjoy creating a positive and supportive environment where they feel safe to learn and have fun!

My name is Barbara Ybarra, I’m from Idalou. Im married with 3 boys & 1 girl. My hobbies include spending time with my family, bbq’s, watching football (Go Cowboys) & watching my children do what they love! I’ve been in childcare going on 11 years!! I enjoy my job because not only do I get to love and care for them but I also get to help their little minds grow. I think the best part of working in childcare are the smiles, hugs and the I love you’s I get from the children.
